Age: 34

Occupation: Owner, tax preparation and landscape maintenance companies.

Education and Qualifications: AA, Hennepin Community College, Minneapolis, MN
BA, University of Texas
MA Candidate, Hamline University

Field Representative, Assemblyman Ted Lempert, ('91-'92)

As Assemblyman Lempert's aide responsible for community college issues, I gained experience that will prove invaluable as a Board member. I attended District Board meetings; worked with students, faculty, and staff; analyzed relevant legislation; arranged an Assembly education committee hearing at Canada College; served as director of Student Advisory Board to involve community college students in the legislative process.

Staff Assistant, U.S. Congressman Tom Lantos, ('86-'88)

Director of military academy nominations program; constituent ombudsman; community representative.

There are many pressing issues facing our community colleges: How technology can be used to bring the classroom to the student; ensuring that our colleges remain affordable and accessible; creating an environment where the Board, administration, faculty, students, and staff can work together toward common goals.

Difficult decisions are ahead and it's imperative Board members have the experience necessary to provide direction and leadership. I believe I do.

Thank you for your vote. I look forward to serving.
